United Head to Spurs Seeking Revenge and Top-Four Boost

United’s winning run came to an end last weekend against Forest after the team drew 2-2, dropping two valuable points that would have put them in a stronger position in the top four race. United travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday with the game kicking off at 12:30pm.

Amorim and Mbeumo have both won the Manager and Player of the Month awards For October

Match Preview
United face another big away test this weekend, but there’s reason for optimism. Amorim and Mbeumo winning Manager and Player of the Month for October means the mood around the dressing room is positive, and they can use that as motivation going into Saturday’s game.
But the away form is still a major worry. United have played five away matches in the Premier League this season, winning just once, drawing twice, and losing twice. Away from Old Trafford, United just don’t show up with the same energy and fight they display at home. Now they face another massive test against a Spurs team that beat them four times last season including in the Europa League final and are also competing for a top four spot.

Head-to-Head Stats
The recent record against Spurs makes tough reading for United fans. In their last seven meetings across all competitions, United haven’t won a single game losing five and drawing two. That’s a terrible run that needs to end if United want to show they’re improving and ready to compete with the big clubs.
Spurs themselves have been inconsistent this season, just like United. Their home form has been particularly poor, they’ve lost nine Premier League home games in 2025, more than any other team in the league. Out of their last 16 home league games, Spurs have won only three, drawn four, and lost nine. So there’s definitely an opportunity for United to get a result if they turn up with the right mentality.

Amorim’s Pre-Match Comments
In his press conference, Amorim talked about the need to defend better and stop conceding so many goals. He said the team needs to be more aggressive and that defending well is connected to having full energy in every moment of the game. He also mentioned there are no major injury worries apart from Lisandro Martinez, with the rest of the squad fit and ready.

Final Thoughts
Either way, United will be hoping to make it four wins out of five and put themselves in a good position in the top four race before the international break. But the big question remains will United turn up like they usually do at home and against big clubs, or are we going to see another struggling, static United performance on the road?
That’s the biggest concern going into this match. United need to prove they can finally break this terrible run against Spurs and show they’re capable of getting results away from home against top opposition.
