Manchester United will be looking to stop the run have been on against them following last seasons 4 defeats with Ruben Amorim stating that “we are a better team, we play better, we understand the game better.”

Following on from the 2-2 draw last week to Nottingham Forest United manager Ruben Amorim delivered his team news for the Spurs Showdown with Argentinian defender Lisandro Martinez looking like he is the only player who will be sidelined for this game whilst Harry Maguire was on the bench at the City Ground last week.
Amorim added in his press conference “We are more confident. We reached that final confident we could win because we were doing well in Europe. In this moment, we play with a different confidence. If you remember that game, they have that shot on goal and they won the game. I expect a different game – that we can play better, but also have a little bit of luck to help us to win.”

Going into the game Spurs have had a bit of a blip of late with Thomas Frank after overseeing a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup, then most recently in the league against Chelsea with the Blues coming away with a 1-0 win.
But Spurs won in their Champions League game against Danish side Copenhagen with Spurs winning 4-0. Spurs go into this game on 17 points in 6th position whilst United come into the game on the same amount of points in 8th place.
Amorim was quick to praise the impact of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo saying “Cunha is a maverick who does things that are hard to find in some players.
“He plays with the ball, but he has an aura that can do something to the opponent’s heads. And that is really important.
“Bryan (Mbeumo) is really direct, and we missed that last year.
“You can sense when the ball is going to our defender, he is already running to position. This kind of small things that people don’t see are massive to turn our team into a more dangerous team.”
